I’ve been breaking stereotypes since I was born, I’ve just realised. My mum was effectively a single parent when I was a child, she raised me amazingly. I’m half black, but that doesn’t mean I’m a criminal, and I’m not, I’m a good citizen. I spent about six years of the main part of my childhood growing up on a council estate, but I never let it hold me down. Ten years ago everyone probably thought I’d be another waster on benefits with a child by the time I was eighteen. They were wrong. I’ve just finished two years at one of the best schools in the UK (21st actually), and I achieved AAAA at AS and am predicted A*A*A at A2. I’ve gotten into several of the top 20 universities in the country, some may say the world is my oyster. This is just to remind me when I feel shit and pointless and like I’ve failed everything in my life, I haven’t. I’ve done fucking well. YAY ME. Stereotypes and societies expectations are bullshit. BE WHO YOU WANT TO BE.
